The Murph slept.  She is still asleep.  I have to wake her.  I know – NEVER WAKE A SLEEPING BABY.  Unfortunately I cannot leave her alone when I pick up the big M’s.  Damn rules!!!!!

M1 has been practicing her writing.  We practice daily.  She is doing well.  It’s hard to remember the sticks, dots, crosses, ticks and lines.  It’ll all work out in the end.

The sky is moody.  The wind is windy.  The rain is wet.  It’s winter!

I LOVE the way M2 lines up her cows and seal in bed.

I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Kelly Smith to create a simple stylish blog for her.  It has launched – check it out here!  Thanks Kelly – it was great working with you – enjoy your blog!

So – school holidays have sarted.  Isn’t that supposed to mean sleep-ins.  Who forgot to tell my girls that VVERY important piece of information.  Especially the Murphster.  It’s Monday today – and we had a chock-full weekend.  Out to lunch both days.  Mama’s on Saturday, and D’Alias yesterday. Great way to break up a day.  Plans for these holidays are non-existant.  We will just go with the flow.  M2  is off to pre-school today (it’s a chilcare/pre-school place – so it runs through the holidays – ahh – there is a God!), and M1 is going with her.  M1 goes and ‘helps’ – which is code for ‘politely telling the little kids what to do’, which is turn is code for ‘being the boss’!  Nah – she just has fun – she’s only 5 and a half – still a little girl – so really – she fits in quite well.  The Murphinator and I will go for a run (if this wind dies down), and then I will do some work whilst she sleeps.  Should I write that in capital letters – SLEEPS.  She. Will. Sleep.

I am meant to have a photo shoot today.  I don’t think the weather is going to be kind to us at all.  It is windy and ainy and just plain yuk.  Exactly how it should be in winter!  I love a bit of winter.

Okay – it’s time to tackle the day head on.

Okay – so I am not sure what went wrong with my watermarking actions – but you get the jist!

So – no run today.  rested my ITB.  Ate too many choc-chip cookies.  Oh gosh – the recipe makes way too many cookies – and they are quite nice:

• 500g butter
• 1 1/4 cup castor sugar
• 5 cups SR flour
• 1 tin condensed milk
• choc-chips

Cream together butter and sugar (use a super large bowl – coz there will be heaps of dough – enough to freeze half!).  Add condensed milk and sifted flour and choc-chips.  I just throw in as many choc-chips as I wish.  This time – I put in too many!  Bake at around 150C (fan-forced) for about 10minutes – until they start to go a yummy golden brown.  Before you baek them, squish them a little with the back of a fork, otherwise you end up with round blobs!  Don’t eat too many – your tummy will hate you!!!

Tomorrow:

1. run 12 km (or 60 minutes – whichever comes first!)
2. finish the lovely Kelly and Chelsey’s respective blogs
3. try and get the Murphinator to sleep more than 45minutes through the entire day
4. remember that it is the last day of school, and therefore attend yummy school BBQ breakfast between 8:00am and 8:30am.
5. remember to pick up M1 early – due to aformentioned last day of school
6. stop and smell the roses! (or at least find some to smell!)

I think my roof is going to blow off.  They say that wind gusts are gong to get up to 100kmh.  Phew – that’s alot of birthday candles getting blown out at once!

So – Madison is coming out with some fabulous little lines lately.  Unfortunately I forget them – or she says them when I am unable to write them dow.  Like the pearlers in the car on the way to swiming tonight.  Gosh – I wish I could remember.

Tomorrow is Thursday. Synonymous with running day.  Last week I did a gorgeous 10km.  Monday was 7.5km.  Today was meant to be 40mins – but I hurt my ITB on Monday, and have been resting it.  There’s still a twinge or two – so I am tring to take it easy.  I’l give it a whirl tomorrow.  60 minutes is the goal – around 12km.  Sounds daunting – but I CAN do it.  (who else can hear me psyching myself up!).

you know what – I haven’t scrapped a layout in at least a year.  I just haven’t felt the inclination. Too time consuming, not enough time. Lately I have been feeling it creep up on me a little.  Not sure why. So I did.

I have featured the photo before – but the kit was callingme.  I haven’t purchased a kit in a LONG time.  Why would I – wasn’t going to scrap with it!  I saw this one, and it ’spoke’ to me.  I actually listened.  I am happy.  In fact – it is still speaking to me, and I think I might create a complete blog design/theme using it.  Maybe I’ll use the theme myself – or maybe I’ll see if the creators of the kit want to use it as a prize – who knows!  Any suggestions (in all my spare time that is!).

I think I am getting happy with my black and white conversions.  There’s something about black and white that I just LOVE.  It’s magical.  Unlike this blog design.  I DO. Not. Like. It.  I like the last one even less.  I need to finish mine.  It’s so close – yet so far.  Maybe if I don’t get to sleep for a week – I’ll be able to finish off the 100 blogs I am designing, and do my own!!  No that would be fun:)

I am trying out a part of my already very small house as a mini-studio.  I hung a piece of black fleece on a rope, and opened the blinds!  I’m happy – needs a little more work – but I’ll be offering sessions soon!

Well – not the same one obviously – but I have another Mouse.  I caught one yesterday, and happily marched him out to the bin – actually – it was two – but who’s counting.  (not me – although I can inform you that I have caught – umm – 6 mice in the past month!).  Anyway – this little ratbag (pardon the pun) was sneaking across the floor in front of the couch.  Ohhh.  It makes me cranky.  I have 5 (yes – that’s FIVE) traps out for him.  Let’s hope his curiosity gets the better of him, and he goes in for a visit.

You know – I just watched the last episode of Grey’s for the seson.  It’s a top show.  Meredith and Derek – just keep on keeping  on.  Go Izzie – you are growing.  George – you are a champ.  Keep it up, Grey’s writers – I LOVE my Sunday nights.  Another show I LOVE – is Who’s Line Is It Anyway.  Gotta ove Foxtel for it. One of my favourite ‘games’ is “If you know what i mean – and I found this on youtube as an example.

Oh – and here’s another one – with that funny bloke Richard Simmons!

I try to be as friendly to the environment as I can.  I use my green bags when I go shopping, get my fruit and veg in a cardboard box instead of plastic bags, use recycled paper, recycled toilet paper etc etc.  I have just discovered that for some bills, i can register with my bank for BPAYVIEW.  that means I don’t get anymore paper bills sent to me.  the single advantage of a paper bill was that is would be sitting right there in front of me – so I would be reminded to pay it.  Now I will need to be a little more astute, and pay as soon as the email comes in.  I can do that for you environment.  I have also put a hold on all of those pesky account statements that seems to take up a huge part of my filing cabinet.  A total waste of paper.  Fixed.  The environment will thank me one day.

Speaking of banks – I misplaced my (when I say ‘my’ – I actually mean ‘our’) credit card yesterday.  Somewhere between the gorgeous hotchocolate shop and home.  reduced me to tears.  it’s not that I was emotionally attached to it – I had just never lost a CC before (or any type of bank-card), and I was feeling a wee bit fragile – so I cried!  All is well now.  new card is ordered.  I am sure the old one will turn up in some obscure place.

Onto more pressing matters.  I am trying to sort out my workflow a little better.  i want to be RAW.  Shoot in RAW that is.  That’s the easy part.  the hard part is adjusting my already comfy workflow. Argh.  it will happen.
