review // a day with the Maximus Mouse and the MSO

A couple of weeks ago (argh – so behind in blogging…. and life in general!), we were invited to see the MSO (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) Classic Kids show – Maximus Musicus.

We have been fortunate enough to visit the MSO Classic Kids productions twice now, and once again, my children were enthralled, and pointed out each instrument as it made a ‘noise’.

This time, the gorgeous Noni Hazlehurst narrated a beautiful little story about a tiny mouse – Maximus, and his encounter with an orchestra.  The orchestra itself accompanied Noni, and were a delightful addition to the magical little story.  The music was sublime, AND recognisable by the children.  There was a some audience participation as well, which never goes astray!

Once again, a big thanks to the MSO – they hold some wonderful Kids concerts – if you get a chance, you SHOUDL go and see one.
