a quick snapshot

My Canon 5D MkII arrived yesterday.  KUDOS to Canon for getting it to me so super dooper quick!  It is a lovely beast – I am looking forward to putting it through its paces.  I haven’t any more shoots booked between now and the New Year – which is a good thing, considering I am going to pop out my babe soon.

Speaking of my babe – any guesses on pink or blue?  I have absolutely no idea at all.  We finally have settled on a name (sort of we think) if it is a girl.  A boy name was settled on – umm – three babies ago!!!!  I can’t wait to meet ‘it’.

Anyway – a short post is a good post- the images above were all snapped super quickly last night whilst I was fiddling with my new toy.  I spent the better part of today trying to sort out how to best read the RAW files from the MkII using LR1 and PSCS3.  Not gonna work!  Had to download a trial of LR2.  Also downloaded the Adobe DNG converter.  Will see what happens.  Either way – these massive files are going to put a strain on my MBP! (sorry for all the geek speak!).

We are in the middle of preparing for the Mackenzinator and Murph’s big birthday bash to be held next Sunday.  Lots to be done – including painting, cooking, BBQ’ing, salad-making, pavlova making etc etc.  Looking forward to catching up with friends and family (although a few more RSVP’s wouldn’t go astray!).
