just stuff

Posted on December 19, 2005

so sorry for that long boring post the other day — what was I thinking - oh yes - ramble on here for a bit - it’s nearly like having an adult conversation!  Oh the joys of having tiny children!

I am so full of creative ideas right now - but no time to create!  I want to be able to sit down and create, design, scrap, draw - and I just don’t get a chance.  My brain is choc-a-block full of stuff that is just waiting to get out!  must. stop. wasting. time.  Why oh why are forums, blogs etc so inviting!  can;t everyone lead a boring life for me - then I won’t have anything to read!

Picked up my 1GB RAM the other day - early Christmas pressie for the computer (lucky thing!).  Phew - photoshop doesn’t know what happened to it - now it needs to keep up with me!

Did a big bake on the weekend - Christmas balls and choc-chip cookies - yumboliscious.  Must get rid of them soon - they are not a staple diet!!!!  They are so very tempting though - mmmmmmm!

Righto - down to business - I have decided what to do with all my website ideas - there will be three!!!!

  1. www.thespottedcow.com - web design and hosting - with some cubecart, zen cart and post-nuke customisations thrown in for good measure!
  2. www.kylieclark.com - digi-scrap store - selling my scallywags, and all the other digi-goodies I have planned
  3. www.digiscrapspot.com - a resource site for digi-scrappers - includes anything and everything pertaining to the digital scrapping world.  I know there are a couple of sites out there very similar to what I have in mind - but none are using the ‘user-friendly’ program that I will use (thanks to www.justdigitalcalls.com ).

At present - I am designing a ’skin’ for cubecart - so that I can use it at ’scallywags’ - it’s a bit of fun - nice and bright.  also working on a new spotted cow - here is the latest:

okay - maybe not - typepad does not want me to upload images at this time!  Pity - she’s such a spunky cow too!  - Aha - typepad is fickle today - here she is:

There are a zillion other things in my head - banging on the walls of my skull to get out (no - wait a minute - that’s just someone using a hammer in the distance!).  I can’t wait for next year to happen - I am having a break over the festive season - and then whammo - back with all ideas blazing!

Look what I made!!!!  In more ways than one!

They are such gorgeous creatures - so happy and cheeky!

My heart melts when I look at this photo!

christmas shopping mishap….

What a busy day yesterday was - aarrgghh! We were all up early - as usual - and I was busy drawing away at the computer - as I do - and I lost track of time…..again!  Ok - so 15 minutes to shower and dress me, and the girls, until my Baby Boot Camp ‘chief’ came to give me a ’surprise’ and for me to give her some paperwork.  That all sorted out beautifully - I now have a fantastic waterproof rug to use when I am instructing the floor work part of the class - GREAT - although I am not overly happy with the amount of duck poo that is going to get on it - what is it with ducks - can’t they have a designated pooing area?  Why do they feel the need to share it with everyone - all through the entire park!  Enough already!

Then - it was time to climb into the car - off to a third birthday party (what were we thinking when we children around Christmas time!) - OMG - I had forgotten to give Mackenzie breakfast!  Mind you - this was at 10:30am - so the poor kid was getting hungry - but there is certainly no chance that she will fade away from lack of food!  back into the house to be spoon fed breakfast at break-neck speeds - I could forsee a case of infantile indigestion woes right there!  But - no - to her credit - she gobbled it down and loved it!

Back to car for birthday - halfway there - ‘Madison - did you put the present in the car?".  ‘No mummy!".  Ripper!!!  Third birthday party - present is sitting on bench at home - oh well - not going back to get it - she can wait!  Turns out Annika (party girl) had a million presents anyway - so I’m sure she wasn’t going to miss one!

Back to car - Mackenzie fell asleep straight away and Madison wasn’t too far behind - thank-goodness they are both easily transferable - straight from car to bed!  WOW - two sleeping children together - fantastic!  By this time it’s around 1:30pm - so it’s already been a busy day.  They both woke sort of together - in perfect timing (what great kids!) - because it was back in the car time….again!

Will had come home by now - for last night was the planned ‘yes I’m sure late night shopping starts tonight’ Christmas shopping!  We picked up some gorgeous photos taken professionaly as a fundraiser of the girls (they are stunning…..will put up later!) - and had Mackenzie’s BP taken. Fickle kid - it was a nice low reading - and she didn’t even scream like a banshee this time!  It seems that I have a ballerina in the making (yeah right - I don’t even know my pointe from my plie) - as she has ‘Charlie Chaplin’ legs!!!!  Hope she can make Charlie Chaplin money! Mackenzie Ella ballerina!  Then it was off to pick up a layby that we started 6 months ago for the girls Christmas present!  WOW!! We had totally forgotten what we bought - it was like Christmas coming early!  They are going to be spoilt this year - although I am not quite sure how we are going to take it all camping with us!!!!

We dropped Madison off at her little boyfriend’s house (yes - it is young love in the making!) and off we went all ready to do the big shopping spree.  we were quite excited - found a carpark easily by the door - didn’t seem too busy!!!  Are the alarm bells ringing for you yet?!?!?  We get up the travelator thingy - shops closing all around us - late night shopping starts next Wednesday night. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!  Bugger!  So Will, Mackenzie and I did a few bits and pieces at KMART and had dinner at La Porchetta (not too bad!).

BANG - there it was - first christmas shopping mishap of the year - I wonder how many more I can tally up…………………………………

you know you need more bedrooms when….

Posted on December 13, 2005

Last night - it was bed-putting time.  Yes - that’s what it is in our house folks - bed putting!  At least last night it was!  It got to 7:30pm, and I had two extremely tired children on my hands.  Now - my two girls share a bedroom (there’s a problem right there!).  Madison (the one that is nearly three) wen to bed first, as a little punishment / thank-you for doing the exact opposite (again) of what I had asked her to do!  Anyway - I thought she was just about to sleep - so I threw Mackenzie (not literally - I threw in a nice way!) into her cot.  She  went off to dreamland beautifully - (ohhh - it has taken 14 months of practice to get her to do that!) - and Madison - well she just got more and more annoyingly awake.  The phone rang - so of course - she came out - right at the time when I was having a very important discussion on something that I can’t remember(!) - "muuuummm I want a bikskit "- not sic - just her way of saying it! I gently manouvered her back into bed.  I thought we were doing well - up until I heard the giggle giggle of two little girl chatting to eat other.  HAH.  Anyway - I must admit - I probably over-reacted (but this had been the culmination of a bad, naughty day for Madison), and I marched in to Madison, and gave her a good ‘old fashioned’ SMACK!  Oh god - I hate the look on her face after a smack - and the feeling I get is horrendous.  Anyway - suffice to say -the smack didn’t work - would you believe I had to threaten another, before she would turn over and go to sleep!  Meanwhile - Mackenzie is still bouncing up and down in her cot having a great old time!  I think it might be time to put up some sort of ‘barrier’ between their beds - who knows what - maybe an iron grille!!!!!!

It’s 7:00am in the morning, and both are still asleep - so I must have done something right!
