Yes – Will is back home. his homecoming could have been a little better – unfortunatley he had been iresponsible whilst away – nearly causing a major upset – but I think he has learnt his lesson. Enough said.!

Wasn’t that the name of a song!

I was so tired last night when I finished this thing – I forgot to credit the gorgeous papers I used!  They are all from Jess Bolton’s SIGNATURE COLLECTION, available at ECLECTIC SCRAPS.  Check them out – she does some gorgeous stuff!  I also used Michelle Colemans’ STAMPED ALPHA from Scrap Artist, and Katie Pertiets SNAP FRAME ALPHA, available at Designer Digitals.  Thanks ladies!

So – I was working at this thing for ages – but I still haven’t got it ‘perfect’!  It’s on it’s way though!

M & M are still crook.  It’s meant to be swimming lesson day today – but I don’t know if we will make it.  SPeaking of M’s, M2 is on my knee as I type -  making it nearly impossible to type anything correctly the first time without making it look like an alien wrote it:).

WOW – don’t the days just zoom by! It’s tuesday already – week is almost over, and Wilbur will be home soon:)

SUNDAY: Gentle quiet day! Both the girls were still struggling a little with coughs, snot and whatnot – so I figured – best to keep ‘em quiet. It was a gorgeous day – i don’t know what is happening with winter – but I am loving it! I set up the girls tenty/cubby thingo that they got for Christmas – outside! They loved it. BUGGER – IT’S OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW – MUST GET IT………. The weather has been fantabulous of late.

OK – so tonight I finally decided to do a spot of hard drive cleaning! BIG mistake! Oh golly – I didn’t realise I had accumulated so much ’stuff’! As I type – I am burning my first of 2 DVD’s. These are just unzipped kits. I guess I should be sort of happy – I have only accumulated 8GB of ’stuff’ since I started digi-scrapping! Not too bad I guess! I am going to do a thorough cleanup of both my hard drive and my external hard drive. The laptop – well – it can wait!!!!! Then I need to re-organise all my kits and stuff in my Organiser. I did have a system – but you know what – I am going to scrap that system and start again. I’ll keep the catalougue – just in case – but it’s all over! I need to first get rid of all the kits that I don’t really use so much anymore – although – there isn’t really many of those – I still grab bits and pieces from here and there all the time! BUT – it is time to be tough. I’m not throwing anything out – just moving it around!

Finally I finished Christy Sturm’s Butternug Squash home page and Creative team page! Check them out! Once you get to the CT page – you can click on each member and go to their little bio! It all turned out well!

Okeydokey – check this out! This is what I am working towards at the moment!

Yep – the APPLE MAC BOOK PRO! 17″ display thank-you very much. So– it’s gonna cost somewhere around the $5000 mark – but oh so worth it! I have been doing heaps of research into working with a MAC and PC together – and it’ll work nicely! Can’t wait till this happens! It’ll be a little while yet – after all – we are not made of money – but hey – it’s gonna happen- and yes – I need a new laptop. The one I am using now has all of 256MB RAM, and just doesn’t cut the mustard! I need to be able to take my work with me when I visit clients, and also be able to test in MAC and PC- so it makes sense that I get the best – right!:) Makes complete sense to me!

Had a surprise visitor today – my Mum. Very cool! Always nice to have some adult company at present! She’s been up in QLD visiting some friends, and attending a conference, and she brought back my guitar! yes folks – I have been known to strum a little! Looking forward to getting it out and having a play soon – see if I can remember where the chords are!

Hey now – all of you girls out there that like a good chat about all sorts of things – not just scrapbooking – whip on over to She-essence – discover your essence!

It’s fun and lively – and there’s even challenges to be had. AND – it’s not all about scrapbooking – games, fun stuff – you name it – even career help! Get on over there!!!!

Gee whiz – this whole burning of DVD’s sure takes a long long time – I still have a t least one more to burn – aarrgghh- I am not the most patient person at the best of times:)

ETA: – It’s 11:41pm, and I have reshuffled my hard drive – each kit is in it’s designer folder – so now I have to redo my PSE catalogue! No worries – finding all sorts of cool stuff – have onle done theJen Wilson folder yet!!!!

Ok – so a went a running today – and MAN I feel good.  Cranked out the big 6km.  yep – just like that. No warning – no nothing.  Got it in my head that if I can do 6km straight off the mark – without any prior training – then yeah – I have a hope for the halfer in October!  21.1km – here I come!  Took Hervey with me (the dog we bought when we went out to buy a pram – but came back with a dog!).. I was running at around 12km/hr (5 minute kilometres) which I think is OK.  Well – Hervey – didn’t even get up a sweat.  Four legged beast.  He was trotting along next to me like it was a walk in the park for him.  Little bugger!  It’s a bit embarrassing really – here I am working my guts out, and beside me is this dog – prancing along as though he hasn’t a care in the world (he probably doesn’t except for – "when’s my next feed", or "hey – let me at that bird over there!").  Just you wait Hervey – you’ll be knackered (hmm – bad term to use – since he already is!) when I start churning out the 10 – 20km’s!

Anyway – here I am back home -procrastinating.  Had a shower to de-smell – did a bit of surfing, had some lunch – now bloggin.  Will it evah end.  MUST. STOP. MUST. WORK.

the path to the half marathon… only 21km to go!

You know – maybe I’m not meant to rub a half-marathon on the 8th of October. Or – maybe I’m not meant to run a half-marathon pushing a twin pram containing a combined total of 4 legs, two wiggly children and around 25kg (if not more!).  Surely I can do this.    I ran a total of…….. hmm – 100m today.  Golly – with a pram – no good. Tomorrow – I am off for a run- sans  children and pram.  Good idea.  Anyway = so who wants to support me in my path to 21.1km of pure, exhilirating, blissful running (can you tell I am trying to make it sound alot better than it is!).

Hey – total blond moment today.  I couldn’t get my mp3 player to work today.  Very upset. Why – I only bought the thing less than 12 months ago.  I guess these things work better when you put the battery in the right way!  Duffer.  See – even it is conspiring against me!

I seem to have lost my mojo (maybe it’s gone running without me!).  I have been working on a couple of things for ages – but they are taking me forever.  They are not even that exciting – but gee I’m struggling.  I’m also super dooper tired all the time.  Maybe coz I’m not sleeping as soundly as usual.  You know why that is – coz my spunky husband is away studying.  I can’t wait for him to come home again.  Usually we are able to talk each day – but this week he has been out of contact – except via a payphone – it makes such a difference when you don’t talk everyday.

M2 had a heart check-up today.  No news.  I guess that’s good news.  Her MRI is booked for early September – so we’ll have a better idea of what we are dealing with after that.  M2 kept the people in the waiting room today highly amused with her well-placed chuckles and giggles.  She was so happy and carefree – into everything.

Both the girls are now cough cough coughing away.  M1 sounds like she has a tonne of phlegm making a home in her chest, and M2 – well her phlegm is trying to get out via her nose (do you like the graphic!).  I’ve got the heater turned up in their room tonight – must kick colds and flu before they take hold.

Look at me – rambling away – procrastinating.  I haven’t a whole heap to say – I guess I’m just trying to keep my eyes open!  Well done for staying this long!  Cheers:)

I’m all flocked out!

Hmm – so I am a little over flocking for my blog right now!  Yeah – that does sound a little weird does it not?  No – sometimes I use the browser FLOCK to update my blog – buy it seems to make the images wonky, and adds all sorts of groovy alien-like symbols and sigsn to my text – which may or may not make it more interesting to read – who knows!

OK – so I hvae been a total slacker!  I wanted to go running these past two days – but my little munchkin M2 is coming down with a doozy of a cold – and well – we all know what happens when she gets crook.  Everything goes downhill fast for her.  Soo – I have been keeping her super warm and rugged up.  Madison will be missing swim lessons today – coz M2 has to miss swimming – made an executive desision and decided it would be best just to keep ‘em both away from the snotty, germy, sweaty steamy places that are ’swim schools’!  Hey – don’t get me wrong – I don’t tend to wrap my girls up in cotton wool – a bug every now and then is great for the immune system – but when you have a little tacker that can go from sniffly to bronchiolitis faster than I can type ‘bronchiolitis’ – you tend to avoid the situtaion at all costs.  Anyway – M1’s sin has been dodgy of late – and we have just started a new ‘treatment’ program – EGO QV and DERMAVEEN BATH OIL, plus a smidge of cortisone.  Hopefully all should be good soon.  Then I just have to stop her from sucing her thumb off!

Anyway – the whole point of this is – I don’t get to the gym today – coz M2 is crook.  Can’t take a snotty kid to the creche – not fair on all the other kids – and I certainly don’t want any barbell weilding crazy mums chasing me down the road coz my sick (albeit gorgeous) child made their kiddos sick!!!

I had a wasted day yesterday.

I spent the entire day researching shopping carts.  yep – just their scripts.  So not really wasted – I learnt a whole lot!  Soo -if anyone needs a website set up with a shopping cart -0 let me know – I can do you a deal!  I want to use my knowledge for something.

I was going to advertise in this months DST newsletter – but no – they are out of space!  So – my advert won’t go in until October!  I’m sorta happy about that – it gives me more time to get sorted!  I need to finish my own site and set up first!  It’s all looking great though. 

I have got so many ideas running around in my head right now!  MUST. WRITE. THEM. DOWN. Just in case I finish off all the other ideas on my other list!

Here I am again!  How’s that – twice in two days! 

Juat thought I’d have a little ramble about nothing in particular – you know – just stuff!  M2 is is back in bed right now.  Yeppers.  It’s 10:21am, and she decided (around and hour ago), that enough was enough – it’s time for a nap.  She has a snotty nose – so I think she might be feeling a little drained.  Poor minchkin.  Anyway – she totally buggered up my plans for the day.  I was ready to head to the gym for a Powerride class.  But no – here I sit on my b.u.m. – feeliing it slowly get larger!  Huh.  Just when I was really ready to go – she sleeps!  I am not one to wake a sleeping baby.  it was ‘drilled’ into me.  “never wake a sleeping baby”  I am still a firm believer in that.  Especialy with Mackenzie – it’s been so hard to get her to sleep in some sort of pattern – so when she sleeps – I figure she needs it – so asleep she stays.

I realy wanted to try and do the Melbourne Half Marathon this year in October.  It means I have three months to be able to run 21km.  I think noyt.  they do have a 7.5km option – which would be a walk in the park for me!  21km – hmm – I’m not too sure.  I have not done nearly enough running lately to get up to that distance in time.  Who knows – maybe I should give it a red hot go anyway!  If only I didn’t have to push two childrenin a pram while I run – it’s such hard work!!!  excuses excuses!!!

Ok – M2 is awake – that’s my cue to leave!  Enough rambling about nuttin’!

Ok – so maybe I can get away from a billion and one pics, and actually let words do the talking!

Will came home for a flying visit on the weekend! Got home at midnight Friday Night, and was at work most of the day on Saturday! I took the girls to a birthday party at a fantasmagorical playcentre. KIDSPACE. It was amazing. hige slides (7 metres), and lots of tunnels, ball pits – everything! We had a great time – so much so that Will and I took the girls back the next day – along with MAdison’s little ‘boyfriend’ (so she tells me!) Lincoln. It was non-stop action. M2 was going down the 4m high air-filled slide face first on her stomach, AND quite happily going down the 7m high slide by herself. She’s not even 2!! Little daredevil!!!!!!

Anyway – he’s gone back to finish the last two weeks of his course now! Then he will be a fully-fledged Part 3 Commercial Diver – ready to work off-shore! Yay. Or not really YAY – coz it means that he will be away from us for two weeks at a time forever – but then he’s home for two weeks at a time – and doesn’t have to work then!!!!!

OK – other stuff! Me! Well- I had a bit of a moment the other day. I realised that this whole digi-scrapping thing was starting to grasp me and take over my life. Going from a hobby – to an obsession. That’s not what I want! All I was concerned about was trying to design kits, the rest of the market etc etc. It was actually becoming a little stressful. SO. I have decided to take a little step back. My main focus will not be on kit design. That does not mean I won’t be deigning kits at all – I will – but I’m not going to put any pressure on myslef to churn out heaps, and fill up the store shelves! I have also shelved the idea of my own store. Too much to worry about. Why bother. I seel at two perfectly good spots right now – and I don’t have to deal with the uploading etc etc, or administration. Gotta love that! Instead – I am gonna SCRAP. I am on some awesome creative teams – so I am just gonna scrap and have fun. record the moments. live the memories. yeah – you got it!

Okay – off the scrapping for a bit. Some of you may or may not know – I am a web designer (in training). I am going to concentrate on this a whole lot more (as I said – digi-scrapping designing was taking over). I have a few sites that I am working on right now – and I will be available for hire. I can set you up with hosting, a store, a blog, CT page, gallery – anything you like. So be on the look out for that soon. I’ll be advertising. If you have any questions – feel free to email me.
