it’s been a while….

Yes – since I had the time or even inclination to post. So many more important things are happening!

My favourite husband came home (as opposed to all the other husbands I have).  He made it home last Wednesday at 6:45am – well that’s when his flight touched down – we didn’t see him until around 7:30am.  What a welcome he got!  M1 and M2 were so excited – they were running through the international arrivals lounge screaming ‘daddy daddy’.  Will heard them before he saw them.  Then we went to the Aqaurium – how much fun is that place!  M1 wasn’t so keen – all she wanted to do was be picked up and carried by Daddy!  M2 – had an absolute ball – pointed at EVERY fish, touched EVERYTHING, and just generally enjoyed herself!  Photos are still on the camera – see how much time I have had to get them off – none!

OK – so after that we did stuff.  Lunch at Southbank.  Off for a bit of shopping. Oh Oh Oh.  before that – I had a present to open! Yep! Perfume.  Yummo.

It is just gorgeous.  I am not usually a perfume girl – but you can’t get this off me!

Can’t find a picture – but this thing is awesome!  Trakcs my HR, distance, speed, even the last time I sneezed!  Love it!.

Also bought a huge 4GB card for the camera!  Fantastic.

I am a happy camper.

Is it wrong to sort of flirt but not really with the guy on the other end of the telephone banking line! he had such a lovely voice, and was so nice:)

Another ‘is it wrong’….. M2 is having trouble going to bed lately. She has never been the best ‘going to bed type of child”, but we were doing well – until a few nights ago. She doesn’t deal well with the heat – no thermostatic control – her little heart beats so fast as well. So – she was continually coming out after I put her to bed. In the end – I just let her sleep on the couch. yes – I know – starting a bad habit. Two nights ago – she flatly refused to get into her bed – it was almost as though she was scared of it. She ended up in bed with me last night, and we both slept BADLY! So – tonight – I thought – this is it – get on top of this before it comes back to bite me on the b.u.m. I climbed in to bed with her, read her a book about Pooh-bear (big mistake – she loves Pooh, and wouldn’t stop pointing out all the pictures – so much for dozing off!), and then kissed her and left. Well – i tried to! She clung onto me like a bear. After much to-ing and fro-ing (how does one to and fro I wonder), I came up with the bright idea to put my ipod in bed with her while it was playing a movie (the movie – an all-time favourite of mine – LOVE ACTUALLY). She didn’t have any volume, but it really calmed her down, and she dropped off to sleep fairly quickly! Let’s hope she stays that way ALL night!

Had a birthday party for MAdison on the weekend! She is now the proud owner of 6 Barbies and 2 Bratz dolls, oh, and three barbie head type things – the ones you do the hair and make-up on. I have been over-run by them! At least they are happy to pose for a photo-

I need to add the rest of the dolls now – coz there is another FOUR to add!

Since it is 11:15pm, and I am exhausted – here’s a couple of layouts – and the I’m off to get some rest (or watch the tennis…..)

I still haven’t finished getting the photos uploaded, let alone processed!  I have been working headr on a gorgeous website – Amanda J Photography.  There is only a splash page there right now – but it’s on the way.  I have been fighting with Flash a little – we just do NOT get on well at all:). Mands takes some wonderful photos – so if you are in New Zealand – look her up!

I have also been working on The Creating Garden. That link will take you to the NEWS part of the site.  Whip on over and sign-up for the newsletter (even if you have already signed up, please do so again – I had some database ‘issues’!).  I have a newsletter coming out next week sometime – it will include some wordpress tips, making a realistic page curl in Photoshop (similar to the layouts featured later in this post), and how to create and email signature.  To top it all off – a funky new font will be available as a gift – so get on over there!

This next one was a bit of fun to do – I am really into page curling at present, and trying to make it more realistic (although this isn’t overly realistic – since there is nothing holding the curl down, and I have never seen paper curl quite like this!!!).

What’s the go with the idiots who keep lighting fires here in Victoria.  Do they not understand that a) – we are in the middle of a drought, b) because of said drought – there isn’t much water – so fighting fires puts extra strain on our already low water supply and c) just the pure devastation that a fire causes – not just to the environment, but lives.  Get a life firebugs.

As we are in the middle of said heatwave – it’s time for me to take my little clan to the beach for a cool down:)

and I haven’t finished getting the photos sorted yet!  She had such a great day, despite the fact that Daddy is still working!  her birthday wish list consisted of a (wait for it!!!) “yight”.  For those that do not understand her special language, and yight is a light.  Yep – she wanted a torch.  Easy.  She even got the Disney Princesses variety!  But – she is awfully happy with the other stuff that ended up on the end of her bed!!!!

A Bratz doll – it even looks ‘noice’ (ala Kath and Kim!)

Other things included (but not limited to!) that I can’t find pictures of…

• Disney Princess Little Mermaid Deluxe set – red wig, headband, mermaid tail, shell bikini top, wedding gown (she looks adorable!)
• secret pink girls artbox
• a rubiks cube type puzzle (although the solution looks awfully technical, and it’s supposed to be for a 3 year old!)
• a barbie that can have her hair streaked and coloured
• another Barbie style head that is portable
• a flat Barbie head that can be ‘made-up’ (are you seeing a theme here… *sigh*)
• a cup that has her name on it
• a lunchbox and drink cooler for Kinder this year
• and that’s it – is that enough!!!!!!

Yes – she did get spoilt!  I have plenty of photos and video – but that’ll have to wait until I stop blggong about it!

Yep – I am still here.  I have a small problem which is why I haven’t posted.  I have way too much to say, and lots of photos to show – so I just haven’t bothered posting.  How does that make sense!  It doesn’t (unless of course you are a procrastinator!!!). Sooo – I will post in baby steps, and all the dates will be higgledy-piggledy – but who cares!
