Oh my – what few days I have had!
Wind back to Sunday night – middle of the night – M2 wakes up for the toilet – runny poo – uh oh – alarm bells start ringing. She was up continuously for the rest of the night, absolutely doubled over in pain with tummy cramps every time she was on the loo. Then M1 starts complaining of a sore tummy. Both stayed home from creche on Monday, and spent the entire day on the couch dozing. luckily for me, a friend came over to watch the girls while I had my haircut! Then she came back in the evening when I had to go and be all presidential for the Kinder AGM! So…. another wakeful night was had by all on Monday night – except M3 – she slept from 9:30pm until 7:30am – what a gem. if only I had too! By Tuesday, M1 was feeling a little better, but M2 was still in agony – so off to the Dr we went. Viral gastro. Just ride it out. Yep. So – still no improvement by Wednesday, as it was time for a check-up with Dr L. (paediatrician) I took M2 in and told Dr L the story. The conclusion – dysentery. My poor little girl. Straight onto antibiotics for both of the girls – just to make sure, and a huge warning to me to be super careful so that M3 doesn’t get crook. Ahh. Viral gastro indeed. I just knew she was sicker than that. Anyway – she is on the mend now, and hopefully will be all better by the weekend.
Dr L. took a quick look at M3 – seems she is lactose intolerant. Yay- another baby that can’t take my milk too well. (note the huge amount of sarcasm there!) She is on Infant gaviscon to sort out her little tummy, and WOW – what a difference it has made. She’s in much less pain – thank-goodness. She is still asleep, and it’s 9:00am (her last feed was at 4:30am!).
Okay – that was started yesterday (Thursday) – it’s now Friday – see how busy I get……..
I think the girls have turned the corner. Thank goodness. No running to the toilet in the middle of the night, AND M3 slept the entire night. WOW – I had some great sleep last night. I’m as happy as Larry (not sure who Larry is – but it seems that he is a happy fellow!).
M1 has missed the entire week of Kinder this week, and today is the excursion to the local animal farm. We have been there a number of times as a family – but I can tell she is really wanting to go. Maybe we will meet the Kinder there – I’ll see how the morning pans out. Both the girls (an me included) are totally sick of being here at the house!
Finally – check out my new hair – or lack thereof!!!!!
Look what arrived here early this week……. now all I need is the computer…..
Look what I am getting………
Gotta love a smiley baby!

How cool is this……..
I found this little site today – jumpcut – it’s super easy to make a little video – I didn’t add any music to this one – but the option is there!
I have a whole heap of other photos to share – maybe this is the way – chuck ‘em all in a clip, and go for it:)
Another beautiful day here today!
I made a purchase today – and it’s totally rad! They had a sale on, and I went for it! Can’t wait to play!
Speaking of playing – I am STILL waiting for my MAC to arrive! I wish it would just hurry up! I am holding off doing so many things until it arrives – maybe I should just stop procrastinating, and get on with everything!
I also discovered this site after receiving their newsletter for ages…. photojojo. I am thinking that this would make an excellent Christmas present.
I’d love to get some of these…
……they are a top idea!
as are these…..
and these….
ooh – there are a plethora of Christmas ideas here for me!

has it been that long…….

WOW – five days since I last blogged – how am I meant to remember what’s been happening – I can barely remember what I did one hour ago!!!!
Oh – I know a monumental happening – I spilt milo (mixed with a wee bit of milk) on my keyboard! Now my right-hand shift key is sticky, and my full stop and forward slash keys stick together – so when I type a / - I never get the / by itself, I always get the /. !!! It’s a pain!!!! Note to self – when having milo – remember to add MORE milk than milo – then then if I spill it – the milo will be watered down, and less clumpy and sticky! Ahh – looking forward to my new MAC!
I returned the Olympus camera yesterday – I just wasn’t happy with the whole thing! I should have listened to my GUT when I purchased, and stuck with Canon. Sooo – I exchanged it for a Canon IXUS 70 – and I LOVE it! Much less shutter lag, faster start up time, and MORE options – and BETTER photos!!!!
Speaking of photos – I have been taking part in a fantastic online workflow / editing workshop run by the very talented and wonderful Lanne! I have learnt so much – my workflow is becoming less /hit and miss’, and more – well – flowed! It will be a whole heap better when I am Mac’ing it – coz right now – it takes an awful long time to run any simple action or even open/import photos in PS! Such a pain!
here’s a few photos that I am slowly editing quickly (does that make sense!) from earlier this year…..
Check out that black eye – that’s what you get when you are to close to the swing – at least she still smiles!
These next few are from M2’s 3rd birthday back in October!
Not a particularly good photos – but it really captures hew busy’ness and excitement!
Had to add this one – I am not entirely sure where her finger is going…….
These two are M1 when she was super sick 9and I thought she was ‘putting it on’ – the day Kinder had football day!
And… just a few random ones….
M1 at the beginning of the year – my she has grown….
I was sent a newsletter today highlighting a fantastic site – Pink Frosting . It’s a wonderful way to organise a party – I love some of the kids party ideas – oh – and the adult ideas are not too bad either! Whip on over and take a look!
I have to send out a congratulations to my wonderful friend Nancy – she is the new editor of the gorgeous Digital Artist Magazine. The site is a work in progress – hopefully we will have it complete in time for the next issue (well – we have to have it complete – coz otherwise no-one can purchase it!).
Righto – onto two new books that I have waiting to be read. Paullina Simons is one of my most favourite authors. Her books about Tatiana and Alexander truly blew me away. I have read and re-read them on numerous occasions. I adore all of her other books as well. She has a new one out – Road to Paradise.
The other book is a Bryce Courtenay tome! The Persimmon Tree. Anything by bryce is a good read – so I am looking forward to getting stuck into it!
I was VERY happy when I walked past the bookstore and saw two new releases by my two favourite authors – all in one day!!!!
M3 has a weigh in today – she is growing like a well watered tomato tree! (hmm – maybe I need to work on my sayings a little!) She eats beautifully, and sleep really well. Last feed last night was at 7:30pm, and she woke up this morning at 4:00am for another! Bliss. I am not going to get too excited though – it may not last. She turned 5 weeks old yesterday 9sorry – not photo yet!) – and I truly think she is beginning to smile – not just the ‘wind smile’ but true little cheeky happy grins. Unfortunately the mozzies got to her little face two nights ago – so she is a little blotchy – poor thing!
The big M’s are fantastic. We all love the hot weather, and have been spending lots of time outside and at the beach. <1 wants to get straight in the water, whilst M2 is very hesitant. She fell over in the water a week ago, and now she will not go anywhere near it! It tok me all summer last year to get her in the water – so I guess I am back to square one with her! Ah well – slowly does it! Hopefully she’ll start splishing and splashing in the shallows when the tide is out. She is even a little more tentative at her swimming lessons too (we have one this morning!).
M1 had an excursion to the local shops with her Kindergarten last Friday. It was great. they all had $1, and we went into the Post Office first, where they purchased a 50c stamp for their letters. They had written a letter to a Kinder friend, and were then able to stamp the letter and post it. m1 received her letter yesterday – how exciting! After the post office, they went to the bakery, and bought a bread roll, and pocketed their 10c change with glee! then it was off to the park for a snack and a play! What a wonderful Kinder session! in a couple of weeks, they are off to a local farm to play with the animals! I LOVE excursion days!
Hmm – time to make lots of noise in the house so that M3 wakes up in time for a feed before we head off for swimming lessons! then it’s off to enjoy the gorgeous day that we have! Love my life!

attitude

WOW – does it automatically ‘come’ with a four-year old – or do they just see a bit on the side of the road and think "Oh – I’ll have some of that – it’ll drive Mum crazy – in fact – give me a double dose!"! M1 has got plenty – enough to share around.haring is good – if you want some – give me a yell!
There it is – right there!
I have a random bunch of photos to share from the last few days – taken with my trusty new point and shoot Olympus! (as was the one above!). I have found that it tends to over-expose a little – but because the whole idea of the point and shoot was to capture quickly some snapshots of life – I am not spending much time editing and making them pretty – so it is what you see is what you get type of fun!
Check out M2 – she just LOVES to get involved in anything M3 – so here she is!
She felt it was her job to feed "Harby" – unfortunately Hervey is not up with the whole ’save time and have your water AND dry food al at once’ theory! Silly dog – it’s such a good idea!!!!
Nothing like a bit of sisterly love at luch time!
Oh – how pretty am I – ‘watch me spin Mummy’!
Oh – crying at full pelt! She’ got a great set of lungs on her!!!
Oh – much nicer! Why can’t she be like this more often…….
Even this is pretty cool!
Is it just me – or is there a bluish tinge to this shot……….
We went to the beachy on Sunday – it was a glorious day – super sunny, and loads of fun!

All in all – life is pretty good!
M3 is still sleeping well – once she gets to sleep that is!!! I am struggling a little with the whole ’settling’ thing. She is such a little guts that she tends to not only drink milk, but also takes in large quantities of air. All good when it goes into the lungs, but not so good when it ends up in a little tummy. We spend a LONG time burping! After we spend SOOO long burping – she is super dooper over tired, and then takes forever to get to sleep!!!! I am sure it will settle down soon.
I was absolutely exhausted last night – Wilbur rang, and I had a good cry on the phone – and felt MUCH better afterwards. Whilst on the phone – M1 came out of her room in tears (note that this was while I was crying, and M3 was also in tears!) – she had been in bed, and got scared. What was she scared of – a couple of little moths. I have never heard such a noise!!!! Anyway – I handed the phone to her while I flapped around the room with a pair of kids tracksuit pants – trying to squish the moths. Note to self – use something longer that kids tracksuit pants next time!!!! Finally all three deadly moths were eradicated, and peace reigned again – except for M3! Oh well – Wilbur and I got to finish our conversation, and then M3 finally went to sleep, and I went to be soon after – at 8pm! I slept until 3:30am when I woke ‘coz I had leaked b.o.o.b.y. milk everywhere, and then went back to sleep until 4:30am when M3 finally awoke for a feed! Gotta love that she picked last night to have a super long sleep between feed! (her last feed was 6:30pm). Ah – I woke up this morning with a clearer head, and a new resolve to NOT yell at the big M’s when they go crazy – but to exercise ‘mindfulness and calm’. It is working so far!

waiting for……….
Posted on November 8, 2007
WOW WOW WOW – I can’t believe it! Yippee!!!! This thing is not going to leave my side – EVER! I have been waiting oh so long for this! Only 2-3 weeks for shipping, and it’ll be in my hot little hands!!
Whilst on a spending spree – check out my other bits and pieces (of course I, and my family will not be eating for a month or two after these purchases – but at least I’ll be having fun!!!)
Canon MP470 Photo All-in-One
Blue-tooth enabled so I can print from anywhere!
No – it is not a toaster….
Maxtor 1TB EHD , and it’s firewire – so I can plug it into the back of the router, and back-up everything wirelessly! Yay!
A nice little point and shoot to carry in my bag – for all those moments I WISH I had a camera!!!!!!
Oh – I haven’t any new photos to share yet – I have been too busy spending!!!!!
Okay – must go wake my sleeping angel – it’s time to get moving!

so much to say….
Posted on November 6, 2007
… but I have forgotten it al!!! Maybe should start writing it all down!
Hey – look what I am in the market for….
Yep – a super whiz-bang smartphone! Hmm – I guess I need at least ONE thing in my life to be smart and organised right now!
Check this thing out – the only thing it doesn’t do is wash the dishes!!!! Seriously though – I could just buy a plain PDA – but then I would have to remember the phone AND the PDA, OR I could just continue to use my diary – but half the time I never have it with me – AND it doesn’t beep at me to remind me of something important – nor is it super small, and light, nor does it fit in my pocket! yep – I am sold on the smartphone! I most probably will not use it so much for email and internet – the costs are way too high for that sort of thing – but I WILL be using the organiser and phone parts daily! It’s a cool gadget – AND it will sync nicely with my MBP when I get that super soon!!! WOW – I make it sound like I have a money tree in the backyard (I wish) – no – just careful saving and scrimping – plus hard-earning!!!!! I need to do a Worm or two though to help me on my way!!!!
okay – so this wouldn’t be a blog post without a few photos would it…….
AHA – the eyes behind the images……
Really – I do have more than one child – it’s just that this one stays still long enough for me to photograph!!!!
After all the rain and crabby weather of the last few days (oh – BTW – it is Melbourne Cup Day here in Australia – good luck to all the punters out there!) – I woke up to a gorgeous morning! Maybe that’s when I should get the camera out!!! I gathered up my clan – including Hervey the dog – plus the girls bikes, and took them all down to the path along the beach for a ride. Thanks goodness Mum came too – coz I am not sure how I would have steered the pram, AND M2 on her bike (she has training wheels, plus a push-along handle at the back – which is lucky – coz she doesn’t know how to pedal – but she CAN brake – which is annoying while I push!), and held Hervey’s leash! It was fun anyway – and a great chance to get walking again! All three girls are having a nap right now (why am I not!) – so the house is beautifully peaceful and quiet – except for the ipod!
I love my life!

Murphy is a great sleeper – ONCE she gets to sleep. Last night she slept from 8:30pm until 7:00pm this morning – I can’t complain. BUT – she is hard to get to sleep. So….. today I remembered I had a little tin of sleep balm – so I chucked some one her little temples, and VOILA – SLEEP – almost instantly! You little beauty!!!! it has worked now for the two naps I have used it on! Oohh – I am hoping it continues!!!!

coz everyone likes a photo or two….
Posted on November 2, 2007
Yep – don’t we all LOVE to check out photos of stuff – especially ‘new’ stuff. I have been snap happy lately – which is fine – but – (and yes – there is a but), I am struggling with the whole editing process. Only because I LOVE to take a good photo, and therefore I tend not to take enough ’snapshots’ – you know the ones I mean – just funny stuff. I don’t actually get my kids to pose at all – but I can’t help but try and create a good image everytime, instead of just relaxing at letting the moment take me where it does. Of course – it doesn’t just stop at the camera – then I have to photoshop everything – mostly just sharpen and a little colour fix – but it is time-consuming, and I am such a perfectionist. Add to that – I am sure the colour on my monitor is wonky – so for all I know – my edited and processed photos might just look plain old crap! Who knows! I am not going to do too much about the whole monitor calibration thing for now – coz I am *this* close to my MBP – and I’ll sort it out then!
Ok – enough waffling….
M2 is such a great ‘holder of babies’ – she really LOVES it! Never gets bored, and will calmly sit for ages with M3 cuddled in close!
M1 on the other hand – thinks M3 is a bit of a toy, wants to have a hold, or a ‘turn’, and then 30 seconds later – has had enough!!!!
Oh – i adore little kissable feet!
Just a bit of TTV fun! She’s not looking her best here!
Oh – a little idea I found on someone’s blog – but I can’t for the life of me remember who! Didn’t quite turn out how I wanted – I think the rug is a little too bulky!
Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth – or would it!!!!

Mmm – beautiful little rosebud lips!
So peaceful……
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this guy……
So NOT peaceful…….
Oh – very unpeaceful…. get me off this thing!!!!
I Just love the look and sound of little newborn cries. My heart melts, but I still manage to laugh! Someone has to I guess.
