Happiest of birthdays to my Wilbur. We packed a picnic (actually – I packed a gorgeous picnic) and headed to Healeseville Sanctuary for a fun day out. Will and I hadn’t been there for many years, and the girls not at all (oh – except Madison who went on an excursion a few months ago). [...]

Day sixteen, seventeen and eighteen

DAY SIXTEEN - We changed it up today and met some friends at a different beach! Point Leo is lovely – totally different to our beaches though! The girls enjoyed a bit of rockpool rambling, and I relished in the chance to talk to another adult! Always a bonus! DAY SEVENTEEN- Ahh – day seventeen. [...]

photo-a day – day 13 – cranky day and a few days more to 15

I am not a big believer in the whole Friday the 13th doodad stuff, but by golly I was a cranky pants today. The sky was even cranky. Madison had her last Nippers session (phew – we made it through that!), and I got progressively crankier. Things improved as the day wore on. Phew. Daddy [...]

day umm…. ten to day twelve

SO – we all knew I wouldn’t continue the task of posting a photo per day. Let’s be real – i couldn’t even do that – I was all about the photos per day! I have diligently taken photos each day, and rather than add them day by day, dedicating a post to each – [...]

waves, wind and water on day nine

Who would have thunk it huh! I made it to Day Nine! Day nine turned out slightly different than planned – but that’s just how I roll! Today was a Nipper day, so I ventured to the Portsea Back Beach with ALL the tribe in tow. I hadn’t been to portsea in a number of [...]

Day eight – happiest of birthdays…

Yes – I am a day late. Let’s pretend that it is yesterday! Who can blame me – I was whooping it up with my nine-year old girl. NINE! NINE! I can’t quite believe it. Madison is a blessing. We clash. Oh how we clash. Badly. She is Daddy’s girl. I am Daddy’s girl. See [...]

day seven – let’s just call this ‘document a day’ shall we!

Humph. Photo-a-day. Whose idea was that! Maybe it is that I am a trifle over-enthusiastic at present. let’s see what happens next week shall we! Today was the sort of day where I went with the flow. Prepared for the Portsea Twilight run (a whole 3.75km run at Point Nepean). I felt good, yet slightly [...]
