things / goals I want to achieve / do

Just a list of goals and things that I want to do – not family oriented things – but stuff for me – sort of career-wise I guess.  once the list is made – then I can prioritise, and order so that I can make steps to achieve….

Photography -

  • successful maternity / children / family photographer servicing the Southern Peninsula

Web Design -

  • successful boutique web design – including shopping carts etc – NOT just zen and x-cart
  • photography sites – flash sites in particular
  • Not sure whether I want to just concentrate on one or the other – if I concentrate on just one – it would most likely be photography – no need to learn programming – but need to learn Flash

Digital Scrapbooking -

  • Just a hobby – nothing more – I don’t want to ‘waste time’ designing scrapbooking stuff – when I can do better at web design.
  • I realise that I can make a fair bit of money per week doing this – but it won’t last forever – and I am running out of ideas fast
  • I will burn out at this – coz really – I am just doing it for fun – and as it is – I am running out of new ideas!

WOW – that’s not much is it!

Steps to achieve these things:

PHOTOGRAPHY:

  • PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
  • participate in a Tom Putt course
  • participate in Lannes online post-processing course
  • read and absorb
  • build a portfolio – charge friends / creche / kinder mums $50 for a CD full of images for a free session with them and thei families
  • build a website / gallery
  • specific photoblog

WEB DESIGN:

  • learn Flash – study the videos, create plenty of pages
  • create an online shopping store for Not Just Paper – using ‘e-commerce templates’
  • continue to customise blogs – build up a name in the photography world
  • splash pages
  • build The Creating Garden – make it web design specific

KYLIECLARK.COM

  • this will be my personal site – a feeder to my other site – The Creating Garden, and Kylie Clark Designs and The Font Spot (if I do The Font Spot), and my photography site.
  • kylieclark.com will house my personal blog
